APA Hotel Namba Shinsaibashi Nishi

I loved this hotel, it was the perfect location with 3 marts nearby and so close to Dontunburi. It was easy to get to from the Bus Terminal, just a short 10 minute walk. The property has nearby public transport so moving around Osaka is simple and efficient. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby so plenty to choose from. The room was super clean and had all the ammenities that you need. They do not clean every day but are happy to if you leave the cleaning label on the door. They leave fresh towels and ammenities on your door for you to take when you need a refresh. The bathroom was clean and easy to use, with an extractor fan and shower/bath. I was on the 10th floor and didn't expect a view so was fine with not getting one. The lifts are quick and easy and I was rarely waiting. The WiFi was good, I only used it for my phone but it did the job.

Excellent location and amenities. Being a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens), we had a double room and the teens shared a quadruple room. The rooms were small by normal standards but everything was included. Loved the toothbrush, better quality than most hotel toiletries. Buffet breakfast was good.

I loved many things in this excellent hotel. Here's a list. Efficient check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Outstanding central location. Nearby convenience stores. Modern hotel/room. Excellent room design (efficient use of space). Two key cards provided (can use one for power and one for the door). Cleanliness. Laundry and vending machines available on some floors. Great value overall.

Our family got to share a connected family room which was convenient. The hotel was filled with many amenities and appliances including a kettle, hair dryer, shared microwave and ice machine, coin washing machine and dryers, and yukata. Our favourite was the shampoo and conditioner. It’s conveniently located near a train station, with 3 convenience stores near by, a short walk away from Dotonbori with a nice night view out the window.

The APA hotels I stay at have had small but very comfortable and functional rooms. It has just what you need and not much more. I remember the crazy books that they used to have in the rooms but those aren't around any more. They're generally a good deal and the breakfasts are pretty good. They're also everywhere in Japan. I got a great rest and I was at the edge of Dotonbori which isn't the quietest area in Osaka.
